All is Set For NSUK 2016/17 Post UTME

So far so good, i hope all the information you've been getting here has been of immense help to you. As it stands now, all is set for the exercise and here are some final tips to consider as you prepare to storm Nasarawa State University, Keffi:

1. Coming to Keffi for the first time, dont worry it is not really a big town. As soon as you drop at the park, just take a bike to 'university gate'

(Powered by Team NSUK Guide)

2. The bike will drop at the school gate this is because there are separate bikes that are allowed to work inside the university. Therefore take another bike from the gate and tell him to take you to the faculty where your screening will be conducted. ( Am sure by now you all know your faculties)

3. Be warned, for those that are hoping to come and do their registration in the school, there are only two banks inside the school so it will definitely be crowded, but there are other bank outside the school around Keffi town.

4. When in Keffi, you best means of transportation is 'bike' aka okada

5. Goodluck. Cant wait to see some of you, wish i could call names, but una too plenty. and you can always call me on 08036335647

Reformatting your Laptop with Installation CDs
If you have become frustrated with the performance of your laptop because of too many installed programs, an overgrown system registry or a malicious software infection, the fastest way to restore its original performance is with a complete hard drive format. However, this process is complicated and can result in loss of data or inability to get your operating system and programs back if you forget a critical step. Confirm that you have all of the software needed to restore your computer, and then use your recovery disc or Windows installation disc to format the hard drive and re-install Windows.

Step 1
Confirm that you have the Windows product key for your laptop. If you purchased the laptop with Windows pre-installed, the Windows product key is generally on a sticker affixed to the bottom of the computer.

Step 2
Check that you have the ability to reinstall Windows. You need a Windows installation disc or the recovery disc for your laptop. If your laptop did not include a physical disc, it stores the original system files on a hidden hard drive partition. Confirm that the partition works by pressing a keyboard shortcut displayed on the screen such as "F8" or "F10" during startup. Your computer should also include a utility allowing you to burn the system files on a recordable DVD.

Step 3
Check that you have all of the software and driver discs needed to install your programs and hardware device drivers. If you downloaded some of your software from the Internet, find the installation files and save them on a removable storage device.

Step 4
Back up all of the data on your laptop's hard drive. You can use a free program such as Clonezilla or DriveImage XML to clone the hard drive on an external drive. If you do not have a hard drive large enough to hold all of the data on your laptop, you can back up the most important files manually. However, formatting your laptop will remove this data. If you forget something, it will be difficult or impossible to recover.

Step 5
Insert the Windows or recovery disc, and restart your laptop. If you are using the hidden recovery partition, restart the laptop and immediately press the shortcut key displayed on the screen. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to install Windows or perform a full system recovery, and return your laptop to its original state.

Reformatting a Laptop Using Restoration Partition

Restart your computer. While the machine is rebooting, repeatedly press the F10 key on your keyboard until the machine boots. This will take you into the partition offering you options for repair or restore (reformatting and reloading).

Select the option for installing a fresh system. The beauty of this system is that you don't have to do anything else. The restore partition will completely run the program to format, reload the OS, install drivers and install all of the original software that came with your laptop.

Wait for the reformat to complete. This process will usually take around 30 minutes to complete.

NSUK Post-UTME Payment Update

(Please take your time to read and understand this, because there is no better way i can think of to explain this for you)

I have received many question from applicant asking if they can make the Post UTME registration payment outside keffi, the answer is yes but you need to understand this.

1st the payment is done by the bank through e-transact online payment platform, this is what links the payment to the bank and an e-transact payment slip will be printed and issued to you by the bank. This slip and your deposit slip are to serve as you proof of payment. Without them you will be automatically screened out. So its not just about going to any bank to deposit your money, it must be done through e-transact.

Secondly, The school don't release their account number (To avoid fraud), they only notify the banks and tell the banks which account number to deposit the money. Stop worrying about account number.

From the above explanation, yes you can make payment anywhere in Nigeria but only if the bank have a link with Nasarawa State University, Keffi and operates an e-transact payment platform. Therefore, you need to make sure you find a bank that has a link with the university, knows the school's account number and have etransact service or meet the bank's customer care, explain to them and ask them if they can contact their branch here in keffi to make enquiries about how the process is done. (You can even show them this information if possible).

This therefore means making the payment outside Nasarawa State is going to be difficult. That is why in my opinion i advice that you make payment within Nasarawa State because the banks here are already used to the system.

JAMB Withdraws List of Candidates Sent for Admission Consideration.

Breaking News:
JAMB Withdraws List of Candidates Sent for Admission Consideration.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has withdrawn the list of recommended candidates for admission earlier sent to the tertiary institutions, the Board said in a statement on Sunday.

“This is to ensure that the University Senate perform its statutory responsibility of conducting the selection of candidates and refer it to JAMB for confirmation in line with the admission criteria of merit, catchment and educationally disadvantaged states as directed by the Hon Minister of Education at the policy committee meeting,” Fabian Benjamin, the organisation’s head of media, said in a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES.

“The earlier list was sent to help fast track the process of admission so as to allow other tiers of institutions also conduct their admission.

“Candidates should not panic because this is part of the process of the 2016 admission exercise. JAMB regrets any inconvenience this decision would have caused the tertiary institutions

“The Board regrets any inconvenience it’s proactive step would have caused the tertiary institutions.”
